Wishing to join our wonderful ACADEMY

Welcome to Denham Green Video

Welcome information

We are a fully inclusive academy and welcome applications for all children.

Applying for your child’s school place should be hassle free. We have put together key information to help you with your application process. We look forward to hearing from you to have a tour of our academy (subject to Covid restrictions).

Please get in touch to book a personal tour or details on our open events via our contact us page

Our academy is part of E-ACT, a multi-academy trust. E-ACT is the Admissions Authority for the academy and Denham Green E-ACT Academy has a planned admission number (PAN) of 30 for Reception.

If you would like to apply for a place, please give us a call on 01895 833 369 to arrange a visit to school to look around, meet staff and find out more about our academy.

Buckinghamshire Council administers entry to Reception and in-year admissions. Once we are at capacity, vacancies are filled using our oversubscription criteria.

We have 30 places available in Reception. If you would like to apply for a place in our Reception to Year 6 classes (either when your child is starting school or looking to move to our school), please do so using the Buckinghamshire Council’s Application Form.  Once Buckinghamshire Council has offered your child a place on our behalf, we will contact you to forward you our Welcome Pack.

To apply for a place, please do so using the Buckinghamshire Council‘s Common Application Form.  This is a downloadable form, which asks for key details, which are then forwarded on to the school.  When we receive these details, we will contact you directly to confirm your child’s place and start date.

Our academy will consider all applications sent from Buckinghamshire Council, where there are spaces within the year group.  Where there are not spaces within that year group, our academy will consider each application on an individual basis, according to our oversubscription criteria in our Admissions Arrangements.

Our teachers and office staff are happy to help and advise you in your application to the academy. Please give us a call on 01895 833 369 should you require more information.

Over Subscription

Once places have been allocated to children with an Educational and Health Care Plan, if there are more applicants than places as set out in the stated PAN, then the following oversubscription criteria for admissions will be used, in the following order:

Oversubscription Criteria 2021 – 2022

Rule 1 – Looked after and previously looked after children.
Rule 2 – Children who appear to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted
Rule 3 – Children who have exceptional medical or social needs, which can only be met at that school, supported by written evidence from an appropriate professional person.
Rule 4 – Children of staff where either:
The member of staff has been employed at the school for two or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the school is made,
and/or
The member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage
Rule 5 – Children living within the catchment area of the school.
Rule 6 – For the main point of entry: Siblings of children who are attending the school or a ‘linked primary’ school in Year R to Year 5 at the time the allocations are made (March 2022), and are expected to be on the school roll or linked school roll at the time of the proposed admission, or who have already been
offered a place to start in the current academic year at the school or a ‘linked primary’ school. For immediate in year admission after the normal point of entry: Siblings of children who are in Year R to Year 6 at the time of admission to the school.
Rule 7 – Children attending a primary school linked to the school named in the list of ‘linked primary’ schools at the time allocations are made (March 2022). This rule does not apply to those applying for a place in Reception.

In Year admissions

Have you just moved to the area or want to change your child’s school? Here is the information you need to know for in-year admissions.

In Year applications

All parents/carers who wish to apply for a place at any time in the year will need to contact the Council directly. The council will liaise with you about a place and will contact you with the outcome of your application.

You can submit your application directly to the council via click here.

Please contact them directly to check your child’s position on the waiting list.

Offers are made to the number of places available. If there are more applications than places, then places are allocated according to the oversubscription criteria. This applies to in-year applications for each year group.
