On Thursday 3rd May, a group of talented Denham Green writers, artists, mathematicians and musicians ventured over to the Crest E-ACT Academy in Neasden, to perform in the Bucks & London E-ACT regional Event. This celebratory evening – attended by all of the teachers as well as the parents of all of the children – was a showcase of talent for all of the Secondary and Primary Academies. Amongst the evening’s events were a talent show, and writing and art display from a Regional competition; and a ‘times Tables Rock Stars’ playoff of all of the Academy winners against each other.

Not only were all of the acts and entries fantastic, but the reaction of the parents and the children to the many different acts were brilliant; everyone enjoyed the many talents on show.

And what a successful evening it was for Denham Green: our girl group won the overall first place in the Primary Category for the Talent competition, with a beautiful rendition of ‘Jar of Hearts’; Hayden (YEAR 5) won the Primary Writing competition; Kasim (Year 4) won the Primary Art competition; and Samara (Year 6) won the Primary Rock Stars competition….a clean sweep! We also had winning runners-up in the art and the writing competitions, so it was definitely a night to remember.

A massive well done to all of the children who entered the competition; to the teachers and the staff; and to the parents for their incredible support on the evening; we definitely made up the majority of the crowd, and were very vocal in our support!
